Mijn schilderijen (meest acrylverf) zijn surrealistisch van aard. Naast een zekere mate van lichtvoetigheid in de benadering van het onderwerp, zoek ik veelal naar rust en harmonie in de gekozen kleuren. Ik laat mij vooral inspireren door het dagelijkse leven en werk graag met thema’s. Het liefst heb ik dat mijn werk mensen inspireert en tot nadenken aanzet. Zo heb ik b.v. de zeven hoofdzonden geprobeerd weer te geven aan de hand van een mix van uitdrukkingen, hedendaagse gebruiken en symbolen. Zo ook de serie de zeven dagen van de week. In de serie Hollands Glorie voor mij typische Hollandse afbeeldingen op tegeltjes met een tafereel schildering. In de wereld op zijn kop een omgekeerde wereld, geïnspireerd doordat we tegenwoordig alles omdraaien, bv. oorzaak en gevolg. Verder worden meningen als feiten neergezet en wordt Jan en alleman op de televisie tot specialist benoemd. De dagen van de week als serie met veel symbolen. Ook raak ik o.a. geïnspireerd door ogen.
Daniëlle’s paintings and paper objects have a surrealistic nature. Above a certain way of humour in her approach of the theme, she often searches the harmonie and peace in the chosen colours. She is inspired by everydays life. She likes to paint series like Dutch Glory, The deadly seven sins, The seven days of the week and The world upsite down. In the serie Dutch Glory she painted for her typical Dutch pictures on tiles with an scene painting. The deadly seven sins she has tried to represent a mix of expressions, contemporary customs and symbols. In the serie The world upside down she was inspired by the fact that nowadays we turn everything around, for example cause and effect. The days of the week. She is also inspired by eyes.
